Christmas Styling Tips from our favourite instagrammer

Leanne Kilroy aka @goodboneslondon has one of our favourite Instagram feeds. She lives in North London in a Victorian house that she has renovated in her signature Scandi-meets-New-England style.

To celebrate the start of the festive season and the launch of VERDEN's Festivum Scented Candle, Leanne hosted a breakfast for VERDEN friends in her gorgeous kitchen.

We asked her for her top 3 styling tips for the merry season ahead:
- Light, light, light! As the days grow dark and cold, I find that light is my favourite way to decorate. I string fairy lights all through the house, up and around the spindles of our long, windy staircases; I set a paper star lantern in the window and, of course, I fill the house with Verden candles for that welcoming glow.
- Foliage: for me, this time of year is defined by light, and the smells and feeling of the greenery and fruit. Whether it's oranges the children have dotted with cloves, boughs of pine and holly, or simple mistletoe, this is truly the time of year to bring a bit of the outdoors in. My favourite way to decorate a festive table is with lots and lots of candles and green-leafed clementines. It also means dessert is close at hand.

I love to reuse decorations - like our paper baubles and stars - year after year. It's more sustainable and it also means that each decoration is filled with sentiment and happy memories, which is really what this season is all about.
